BLACKBIRD by Ivy Stark
In the year 2119, war is raging between the nation of Columbia and the Eastern allied states. Mechanized drones replace the exhausted supply of eastern troops and no end to the conflict is in sight. Former army officer Colin Haas has been given a new lease on life as an android after a devastating war injury. But when Haas mysteriously vanishes, his lifelong friend, army captain Marek Brehl, must undertake a daring mission bring him home, and soon discovers that there is more to Haas’ disappearance than meets the eye. Meanwhile, in an Eastern prison camp, captured Columbian army surgeon Alik Laryn is spared from execution and given the choice of participating in vicious experiments or dying in the name of his ideals. When their paths cross, what began as a search and rescue mission escalates into a high-stakes game of life and death in which nations, victory and the future of the world hangs in the balance.

I feel like I’ve lost all of my friends… at least, the friends that I made that I cared the most about. I never hear from them anymore or anything. It’s rather discouraging. At least I’m glad there’s one person left that really does care about me… everyone else I’m almost positive has left -__-
